PANO – Units in the whole army held ceremonies to officially kick off their training on March 1st in the presence of high-ranking officers.

Namely, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Dinh La Thang attended a new-year training launch in the city’s Military Command; General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defence Minister in Regiment 101, Army Corps 2; Lieutenant General Nguyen Phuong Nam, Deputy Chief of the VPA’s General Staff in Brigade 45, Artillery Arm; Senior Lieutenant Generals Mai Quang Phan and Phuong Minh Hoa in Regiment 12, Military Zone 1 and Regiment 209, Army Corps 1, respectively, and so forth.

* This year, Military Zone 1 continues rolling out the Resolution 765-NQ/QUTW of the Central Military Commission on improving the training quality in 2013-2020 and the following years.

Its constituent units strive to hone troops’ expertise, strengthen staff, boost the implementation of military regulations, and make recommendations to higher levels to complete assigned tasks.

In Regiment 12, Division 3, Senior Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan asked them to promote solidarity and carry out resolutions and instructions on military-defence work in combination with launching emulation campaigns to gain achievements from the very first days.

* Units under other Military Zones target to make efforts in fostering training and combat readiness quality while always raising their revolutionary vigilance to successfully deal with all issues in any circumstances.

* Notably, Army Corps 1, 3 and 4; Air Defence and Air Force Service; Vietnam People’s Navy; Tank-Armoured Arm; and other arms, schools and hospitals under the Ministry of National Defence are determined to overcome current difficulties to achieve the best results in conducting training and missions.
