PANO – Military Zone 5 held a ceremony on April 30th, paying tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and heroic martyrs who devoted their lives to the fatherland’s independence and freedom. This is an annual activity of the unit.

The ceremony commemorated three important events: the 41st anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30th), the 130th anniversary of International Worker’s Day (May 1st), and the 126th birth anniversary of Uncle Ho (May 19th). A delegation from the Party Committee and the Chain-of-command of MZ5 offered incense and laid wreaths honoring President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and the heroic martyrs in Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (MZ5) and MZ5 cemetery on April 30th.

This annual activity pays homage to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for national independence and unification. MZ5 troops at the event pledged to preserve and promote the traditions of the heroic martyrs, heighten revolutionary vigilance, maintain high combat readiness, ensure political security, and maintain public order to fulfilled assigned missions.
