PANO - The General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army held a competition themed "Army with an environmental protection mission" on October 12th with its Deputy Director Sen. Lt. Gen. Mai Quang Phan in attendance.

At the event, three participating teams from the Air Defence and Air Force Service, the Military Zone 3, and the Dong Bac Corporation competed with the dramatic form and in various categories such as self-introduction, activities of environmental protection, and knowledge of surroundings and environmental protection, to name but a few. The organizing board presented the first prize to Military Zone 3's team.

Addressing the event, General Phan asked participating units to continue promoting their emulation movements, building training courses in close attachment with their mission to raise their troops' awareness in protecting environmental and actively control to mitigate consequences of natural disasters.
