On the sidelines, he held talks with Paul Lam Ting-kwok, Secretary for Justice of Hong Kong, who invited the Vietnamese delegation to the conference.
Both sides agreed to boost the negotiations of a mutual legal assistance agreement in criminal matters between Vietnam and Hong Kong, aiming to bolster the fight against cross-border and transnational crimes, cybercrimes, and financial crimes. They said their agencies will step up cooperation in exchanging expertise and training personnel.
