PANO - A groundbreaking ceremony for a hospital was held in Sam Neua district, Houaphan province, Laos, on January 3rd.
It is one of the largest hospital development projects in Laos funded by the Vietnamese Government.
Covering on an area of 3ha, the Houaphan Friendship Hospital will cost over VND 400 billion for 200 beds and modern equipment, contributing to the province’s healthcare service.
At present, the province’s general hospital does not meet demands of locals as it has only 80 beds with poor facilities.
