The 61st National Day of Cambodia (November 9) was celebrated in Ho Chi Minh City on November 6 with the participation of Vietnamese and Cambodian officials.

Addressing the function, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City chapter of the Vietnam–Cambodia Friendship Association Truong Minh Nhut said the two nations are on the right path to socio-economic development.
Vietnam has invested over 3 billion USD in more than 130 projects in Cambodia since 2013. The country is also Cambodia’s third largest trade partner, with a focus on telecommunications, banking, energy, rubber and agricultural processing.
He said Ho Chi Minh City would do more to contribute to the success of the Vietnamese–Cambodian ties.
Cambodian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Sim Sokhom, on his part, expressed his hope for increased friendly cooperation between the two countries.
