During the meeting, the two sides agreed that the two events, taking place at a time when the two countries are celebrating their 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties, will actively contribute to strengthening the traditional friendship between the two neighboring countries. They also spoke highly of the important role of the Joint Committee and the Conference in boosting the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

The Vietnamese Deputy PM believed that the two important bilateral cooperation activities will be a golden opportunity for ministries, sectors, and localities of the two countries to meet, exchange, and discuss appropriate measures to boost Vietnam-Cambodia’s cooperation in all fields, especially in economy.

For his part, Cambodian Acting PM Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng affirmed that he will continue instructing ministries, sectors, and localities to closely work with the Vietnamese side to promote recorded results and implement cooperation agreements reached by the two countries’ leaders, making contributions to raising the efficiency of their cooperation activities in the coming time.

On the occasion, Minh suggested the Cambodian Acting PM pay more attention to directing the land border demarcation and border marker planting to build the Vietnam-Cambodia borderline of peace, friendship, and development. He expected that the Cambodian Government will further create favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses operating in the country and overseas Vietnamese to have a stable life in the country.

Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng promised that he will instruct Cambodian relevant agencies to coordinate with their Vietnamese partners to help overseas Vietnamese to settle down in Cambodia and Vietnamese-Cambodian children to attend schools.
