Vietnamese Ambassador to US meets Congressman Rick Larsen
Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Pham Quang Vinh recently met Congressman Rick Larsen, a Representative for Washington's second congressional district and a member of the House of Representatives’ Armed Services Committee.
At the meeting, Vinh lauded the support of the US Congress for the two countries’ relations.

He briefed the host on Vietnam’s socio-economic situation and the recent official visit to the US made by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
Congressman Larsen expressed his delight at the rapid development of the US-Vietnam comprehensive partnership, affirming that he treasures the relationship between his country and the Asia-Pacific region.
He also said that he pays attention to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum and the APEC Year 2017 in Vietnam, and believes Vietnam will successfully fulfill its role as host and coordinator of APEC 2017, contributing to boosting multifaceted cooperation in the region.
Both host and guest agreed that relations between Vietnam and Washington State have grown well in recent years, reflected through successful and effective economic and trade cooperation between the two sides.
