Participants will have a chance to visit new energy plants and labs, experience industrial production in Nagasaki and attend model lectures in local universities.

Speaking at the working session with the Industry and Trade Association of Nagasaki on June 9, permanent Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem expressed his wish that Nagasaki would actively assist the city in vocational training and human resources quality improvement to meet demand for local socio-economic development.

Takushima Toshio, President of the association, said Nagasaki is strong in industry with high technological standard and a contingent of skilled engineers.

The association wants to establish a solid relationship between the two localities’ education and industry sectors, thereby increasing human resources for Vietnamese and Japanese small- and medium-sized enterprises in the future, he said.

Nagasaki business representatives also committed to soon launching cooperation programs with Ho Chi Minh City’s vocational training establishments.

Both sides agreed to intensify collaboration across industry, high-tech agriculture and fisheries processing.
