Vietnam, China celebrate the 67th anniversary of diplomatic relations
PANO – The Hanoi People’s Committee, in collaboration with the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, held a banquet and art performance on January 9 to welcome the Lunar New Year and celebrate the 67th anniversary of the Vietnam – China ties (January 18, 1950-2017).

Addressing the event, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung noted that the establishment of diplomatic relations opened a new era for the long-standing friendship between the two countries.
The Vietnamese Party, State and people attach importance to developing friendship and comprehensive cooperation with the Chinese Party, State and people, and are willing to enhance the two countries’ ties in all areas and promote comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership of the two nations, contributing to peace, stability, and development in the region and in the world, he added.
Reviewing the relations between the two countries in the past 67 years, the Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong affirmed that China also attaches importance to boosting traditional friendship, expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, and pushing bilateral strategic cooperative partnership with Vietnam to a new level.
In addition, he hoped that the first visit to China by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, after the 12th National Party Congress on January 12, will continue promoting healthy and stable Vietnam-China ties.
