In talks with Treasurer General of the ruling African National Congress (ANC) Zweli Mkhize, Binh expressed his impression of achievements that South Africa has scored under the ANC leadership, adding that he is delighted with the development of ties between the two Parties and nations over the past years.

The two sides discussed measures to further tighten bilateral Party and State ties along with partnership across the fields of economy, trade, investment, including in agriculture and education-training.

Meeting Deputy General Secretary of the South African Communist Party (SACP) Solly Mapaila, Binh shared Vietnam’s experience in poverty reduction – an issue of concern to the SACP.

On the occasion, he also conveyed an invitation from Vietnamese Party and State leaders to ANC and SACP leaders to visit Vietnam in the near future.

Mapaila, for his part, said there are new prospects for the ties between the two Parties in the current era, adding that the SACP will soon send high-ranking officials to Vietnam to learn from its experience.

During his stay, Binh also met Vietnamese nationals living in the country, and held a working session with Paramount Group.
