Poland provides medical supplies for Vietnam
PANO - A ceremony to hand over medical supplies provided by the Government of Poland for the Government of Vietnam took place on September 11 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
The nearly USD 4 million medical supplies include ventilators, heart rate monitors, splash shields, face masks, and medical protective gears.
Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son thanked the Government of Poland for giving medical supplies to Vietnam to help local localities control the COVID-19 pandemic as soon as possible.
He also highly valued the support of the Polish government and people, stressing that their timely and precious support amid the complicated developments of the pandemic in many cities and provinces in Vietnam demonstrates the time-honored friendship and good sentiment and mutual support between the two countries and peoples over the past more than seven decades.
He confirmed that the Health Ministry will allocate the medical supplies to pandemic-hit localities at the soonest time to give timely treatment for COVID-19 patients.
