She emphasized that while many major economies struggled with turmoil, Vietnam remained steadfast, sustaining growth and strengthening the confidence of the international community.

Ana Karina said Vietnam’s experiences in innovating and adopting technology while maintaining economic stability, even amidst impacts of the conflicts in Europe and the Middle East, offer lessons for Mexico and many other countries. Despite tariff challenges from the U.S. policy shifts, Vietnam has remained calm, sustained growth, and effectively implemented social welfare measures.

The legislator highlighted Vietnam’s ability to maintain economic stability during the pandemic and achieve strong recovery, driven by people's industriousness, scientific innovation, and investment in education and human resources – factors that have placed the country on a steady course of sustainable development, as shared by local leaders when meeting her.

Ana Karina recalled Vietnam’s heroic history, noting that braving devastating wars, the nation has risen with strength, optimism, and without hatred — qualities rooted in President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings on reconciliation, tolerance, and a forward-looking vision, which have guided generations of Vietnamese people in nation-building, youth education, and social governance.

She said that she is most impressed by Vietnam’s ability to build multifaceted ties with former adversaries, a strategy that has supported economic stability, poverty reduction, and better living standards. She called it a valuable lesson about the humane and benevolent spirit of the Vietnamese people.

For technology, Ana Karina said Vietnam is taking scientific, appropriate, and transparent steps to fully harness technology’s potential for development.

Reflecting on Vietnam’s 80-year development journey, she described it as “a heroic epic of aspiration and resilience,” stressing that Vietnam has shown that a nation facing immense hardships can still rise strongly through solidarity and perseverance.

According to the Mexican official, with its long-term vision and constant drive for innovation, Vietnam has entered an era of deep integration, become an active member of many next-generation free trade agreements, represented a strong voice on global issues such as climate change, food security, and U.N. peacekeeping operations.
