Ho Chi Minh City, Osaka youths urged to boost friendship
PANO - Youths of Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City and Japan’s Osaka prefecture should further beef up friendship cooperation to further develop bilateral relations between the two localities.
This was underlined by Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thu at a reception for a visiting delegation of students from Osaka in Ho Chi Minh City on January 9.

On behalf of the local authorities, Ms. Thu spoke highly of the Japanese youths’ visit, adding that Ho Chi Minh City’s and Osaka’s youths should focus their cooperation in fields of cultural exchanges, science-technology, and social skills, contributing to tightening ties between the two localities’ residents and bringing benefits to both peoples.
For his part, Mr. Osamu Kitamoto, a representative from Osaka’s Department of Culture and Citizen, emphasized the important role of youth exchanges between the two localities in fostering bilateral relations across fields, such as economy, trade, culture, and education.
