Expansion of Vietnam - Netherlands relations
PANO - The Vietnam-Netherlands Cooperation and Friendship Association, in collaboration with the Dutch Embassy in Vietnam and the Thuy Loi (Irrigation) University (TLU), on May 10 held a ceremony to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Netherlands relations (1973) and the 5th years of the establishment of the Vietnam-Netherlands Cooperation and Friendship Association (2013).

Speaking at the event, Prof. Dao Xuan Hoc, Chairman of the Association, said that, over the past 45 years, the bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and the Netherlands has been developing in economy and politics for the mutual benefit of the two countries. Recently, the Netherlands has become one of Vietnam's biggest investors and trade partners in Europe. With its impressive economic development, Vietnam, a country receiving development assistance from the Netherlands, has become a trade partner of this European country, he noted.
He also affirmed that the Association has carried out many activities, contributing to enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries and facilitating the cooperation and connectivity of businesses and experts between Vietnam and the Netherlands.
Dutch Ambassador to Vietnam Nienke Trooster highly appreciated the effective cooperation between the two countries in recent years and expressed her hope that the Vietnam-Netherlands friendship would develop in the coming time.
