Banquet held in celebration of Vietnam-China diplomatic ties
PANO – The Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, in cooperation with the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee on January 20 organized a banquet and an artistic program in Hanoi in celebration of the 68th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic ties (January 18, 1950 - 2018).

The event saw the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh; Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung; Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Duc Chung; Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, Lieutenant General Le Hien Van; and representatives from ministries and agencies nationwide. Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China Chen Zhu and Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiao Yong also attended the event.
At the event, Chinese Ambassador Hong Xiao Yong said that 2017 marked an important point in history of the Vietnam-China relations with many high-ranking visits of the two Parties and States. He also expressed his belief that the bilateral relations would reach new heights, reap more prolific results and bring practical benefits for the peoples of both countries.
During the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung affirmed that the Vietnam’s side always treasures the friendly neighborliness and comprehensive cooperation with the Chinese Party, State and people. He hoped the bilateral ties would be further enhanced, contributing to the long-standing mutual interests of the two countries.
