A workshop was held in Vientiane, Laos, on June 27 for Vietnamese financial officials to share experience in State budget management with their Lao counterparts.
Addressing the event, Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung said the long-term partnership between the two finance ministries will help Lao officials enhance their competence to meet global integration requirements.
He highlighted pros and cons in financial administration and suggested the Lao side making budget estimate based on the reality of its economy.
It is also necessary to help businesses overcome difficulties as they are important contributors to the State budget, he noted.
Vietnamese experts presented measures to deal with debts in State-run investment projects and curb loss of revenues from customs duties.
Lao fellows show their interest in Vietnam’s tax, customs and legal document management, which have been applied quite effectively in the country.
