Outcomes of Vietnam Private Sector Forum announced
The Young Entrepreneurs’ Association (VEA) and the Mekong Business Initiative held a press conference in Hanoi on December 28 to announce the outcomes of the Vietnam Private Sector Forum (VPSF) 2017 and debut the White Book.
Speaking at the event, VEA Vice President Tran Anh Vuong said the government has adopted measures and achieved successes in the equitisation of State-owned enterprises as proposed by the VPSF.
Following the forum, the Ministry of Planning and Investment issued a new decree in replace of Decree 210/2013/ND-CP on encouraging investment in agriculture and rural development in a more convenient way.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development established a specialized trade promotion agency while the National Assembly amended the Law on Overseas Representative Missions.
In tourism, the Ministry of Public Security extended e-visa issuance to 46 countries and territories, instead of the earlier 40 countries and territories. Positive results were also seen in online taxation collection, e-payment, e-customs and digitalization in governance and training.
The forum also offered solutions to logistics, human resources training, clean energy, trade facilitation and globalization.
VPSF General Secretary Dao Huy Giam said the White Book is the official document of the VPSF that conveys messages to the Vietnamese businesses, government, agencies and international partners which are interested in the development of the Vietnamese firms.
