Danish Ambassador John Nielsen said that the signing of Vietnam-EU FTA would create a good chance for Vietnam to develop its economy. Thus, in the coming time, Vietnam needs to renovate its economic policies and institutions and prepare to implement the agreement.
As a member of the EU, Denmark supports Vietnam to sign the agreement soon, he added.
At the seminar, delegates pointed out challenges brought with the agreement, including requirements to restructure the economy, open the market, improve the investment environment and ensure regulations related to labor and the environment are followed, as well as share experience in renovating institutions and adjusting policies when enforcing FTAs.
