Danish company opens factory in Vietnam
PANO - A new Spectre factory was opened on September 28 at Hoa Xa Industrial Park, My Xa commune in Nam Dinh province.
At the inauguration ceremony of the factory
The factory is set up with 100 per cent investment from Spectre A/S in Denmark. Its key products are premium quality outdoor sports wear.
Addressing the ceremony, Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Charlotte Laursen said that the establishment of factories and production expansion of Danish companies in Vietnam, including Spectre A/S, have generated jobs for locals and boosted the transfer of the companies’ expertise and Danish business values.
The ambassador held that in the labor-intensive garment industry, Danish business values are businesses’ social responsibility, high labor standards and good working conditions.
Emphasizing the strong development in trade and investment between Vietnam and Denmark, she showed her optimism about their future trade ties.
She added that the Vietnam-European Union Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) is hoped to take effect later next year. The agreement will continue to support trade development between the two nations and help Spectre’s products be competitive.
She voiced her hope that more Danish companies would set up their production plants in Vietnam to benefit from the agreement.
