Yen lost to Chinese master Tang Dan in the final of the women's individual category.
In the Singapore Open event, which was held at the same time, Diep Khai Nguyen of Vietnam came third in the men's individual class.
Masters from China dominated both competitions.
China have set up their domination in the Asian championships since its inauguration in 1980, except in 2011 when Vietnamese Nguyen Hoang Lam and Ngo Huong Lan triumphed in the men's and women's individual disciplines, respectively.
