PANO – A writing contest on the poem “Prison Diary” by President Ho Chi Minh was launched on March 18th by the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien – Hue province, in cooperation with the Hue National High School for the Gifted.
The contest was held to welcome the 123rd birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh and 70 years since the President completed the work “Prison Diary”.
The diary was written by President Ho Chi Minh when he was put in prison by the Jiang Jieshi regime in 1942-43.
The organizing board said that the contest helps students of the Hue National High School further understand the President’s life and his revolutionary activities via the poem's artistic, realistic and humanistic values.
The prize awarding ceremony will be organized on the President’s birthday (May 19th).
