PANO – the Vietnam national football team will play the Hai Phong Cement Club in a friendly match to raise money for people in the flood-hit central provinces.
The friendly game is expected to be held at Hai Phong’s Lach Tray Stadium after the end of the VFF Cup on November 6th, said the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
Proceeds from ticket sales and on-the-spot donations will be used to support people suffering as a result of the historical floods in the central provinces.
During the match, a donation box will be placed at the Lach Tray Stadium by the event’s organising board to call for donations from spectators and benefactors.
In addition, members and officials of the national squad and national Olympic team will also donate VND1 million each to support flood-affected central localities.
