Under this announcement, the fortification lies under Trung citadel and belongs to Dong Son Culture. It means that Co Loa citadel was built by King An Duong Vuong based on the former citadel, much bigger than it was thought.

Further research also unveiled Dong Son potteries, iron products and traces of stoves.

At the meeting, researchers proposed the selection of a typical part of Co Loa relic for further study and recovery, as well as continuously excavating some places and roofing the relic.
