The 2024 festival adopts the theme “Creative Intersection.” Organized by the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee in collaboration with the Vietnam Architects Association and UNESCO Office in Hanoi, this year’s festival will see the participation of various organizations, enterprises, community groups, and creative talents across multiple fields.

Jonathan Baker, UNESCO Representative and Head of Office in Vietnam, highlighted the festival as part of Hanoi’s ongoing commitment to UNESCO’s designation as a “Creative City of Design.” He praised the city’s progress toward realizing its vision of becoming Vietnam’s Creative Capital and a regional innovation center. Through robust public-private partnerships to accelerate the cultural industries and creative activities, Hanoi has shown that culture can create a motivation for socio-economic development by mobilizing new resources, contributing to creating a better life for all citizens.

Running from November 9 to 17, the festival includes over 100 events spanning 12 cultural industries, such as architecture, design, fine arts, art performance, cinema, advertisement, handicrafts, and publishing. “Creative Intersection” aims to showcase Hanoi’s creative potential and foster a spirit of innovation across generations.

Simultaneously, events across cultural heritage spaces, creative hubs, and traditional craft villages throughout 30 districts of Hanoi echo the city’s creative spirit.
