PANO – The Lam Dong Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Culture, in association with the Museums of Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Kon Tum Provinces, opened the exhibition “Space of Central Highlands wooden sculptures and flowers” at the Lam Dong’s Museum on December 30th.
The event, part of the programs in the Da Lat Flower Festival 2012, exhibits art statues featuring the Central Highlands’ culture, statues around the tombs and folk statues made by Central Highlands ethnic artisans, and a exhibition of Da Lat’s pine trees and flowers.
Especially, visitors will have chance to enjoy the 1.2m high- hinoki statue “Uncle Ho and the Central Highlands” sculpted by artist K’ Minh Tuan (Lam Dong) as well as a sculpture performance showed by two craftsmen Y Nung (Ede) and A Dau (Xo Dang) from Cu M’gar District of Dak Lak.
