PANO - On May 25th, the publishing house of the Vietnamese Writers’ Association released “Gifts for Children” by writer Nguyen Huy Hoang to mark International Children’s Day (June 1st) in Hanoi.

The book includes 100 poems featuring 100 life skills for adolescents, teenagers and children. With its simple format, the book aims to educate children. The book also helps children learn how to communicate and behave in a good way – and how to cultivate the values of life, such as self–respect, filial piety, courage, sharing and love.

The book is the first poetry handbook about living skills for children.

Author Nguyen Huy Hoang, born in 1976 in Phu Tho province, now works at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
