Beauty of Vietnam via photos
PANO - Photographer Tran Tuan Viet won first prize in a photo contest launched by Forbes magazine with his picture of children playing on the sand dunes of Mui Ne, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province. He donated all prize money to the anti-COVID-19 fund of Vietnam.
The photographer described that many children often follow their parents there to work. They rent sand slides and sell coconuts, snacks and fruit to tourists. Children do not have a chance to become familiar with modern electronic devices. They have to work hard but still find joy from the simplest things.
The photo won the first prize worth USD 1,000 in the “Fun 2020” contest (Joy 2020) organized by the photography app. Agora. The contest themed “What does fun mean to you?” launched on March 6, for all amateur and professional photographers. 50 out of 9,118 entries were selected as the most impressive finalists. The first prize was selected by the entry with the most votes from photo lovers around the world.
“I’m planning to donate all of the reward to the anti-COVID-19 fund in Vietnam,” Viet said.
