PANO - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee held an artistic program, “Soul of Home Town”, on the evening of September 5th at the hall of Military Zone 4, Vinh city, to mark the 110th birth anniversary of the Late Party General Secretary Le Hong Phong (September 6th) in the presence of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The performance included songs and dances in praise of the Party, Uncle Ho, home town, country, Le Hong Phong and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, the outstanding children of Nghe An Province, distinguished and faithful communists who devoted their lives to the Party’s revolutionary cause.

Moreover, the revolutionary tradition of Nghe An province and its people, the gratitude to the Party and the revolution of young generations who have promoted the heroic tradition in the renewal process to build a more beautiful and civilized home town and country, were also highlighted in this event.

This artistic show is among the activities honouring the great contributions of the late Party General Secretary Le Hong Phong to the national revolutionary cause, and the communist and international workers’ movement. This is also a good opportunity to educate younger generations about the example of outstanding revolutionaries like Mr. Le Hong Phong.

* In celebration of the 110th birth anniversary of the late Party General Secretary Le Hong Phong, the National Politics – Truth Publishing House released a book, “Le Hong Phong – Resilient International Communist Soldier, the Party’s Excellent Leader”.

The book introduces more than 60 essays and study articles of several Party and State leaders from different periods, of scientists, localities and units’ leaders about former Party General Secretary Le Hong Phong. It gives a comprehensive and fairly full assessment of his glorious life and career, as well as great contribution to Vietnam’s Revolution and the international communist movement.
