Appreciating the results of the talks between the Defence and Security Committees of the two N.A.s, Phuong said that the talks demonstrated a strong commitment to consolidating and developing the great relationship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general, and the two legislatures in particular.

He affirmed the Vietnamese Party and State’s consistent policy of attaching importance to the Vietnam-Laos great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation.

In the coming time, the two committees should continue coordinating in well preparing for visits by the two countries’ Party and State leaders, as well as conferences and seminars to share experience in law-making and supervision over the implementation of bilateral agreements.

The Vietnamese N.A. is ready to work and share experience with the Lao side to effectively carry out tasks and missions entrusted by the peoples, and the agreements signed.

Saying thanks to the Vietnamese legislature for its support, Vongsack Phanthavong expressed his hope that in the coming time, the two legislative bodies will continue to direct their agencies to actively implement cooperation activities.
