Vietnam’s Public Security Ministry honored with Lao Order
PANO – Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security and its Deputy Minister Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam were honored with the Lao Order at a ceremony held in Hanoi on August 18.

Authorized by the President, the Lao Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Somkeo Silavong awarded the first-class Development Order to Vietnam’s Ministry and the second-class Labor Order to the Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam in acknowledgement of the ministry’ and Nam’s contributions to ensuring safety for the political events in Laos in 2016, particularly the 28th and 29th ASEAN Summits.
Addressing the event, General Lam emphasized that the awards showed the Lao Party and State’s recognition of contributions of groups and individuals of the Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security. The Vietnamese minister believed that the Lao people would continue obtaining more achievements in the national construction cause as well as in the fight against crimes.
He stressed that in the coming time the two ministries will promote their relationship and help each other in raising professionalism, making contributions to the two countries’ economic development and integration as well as raising their position in the international arena.
