Cooperation in e-commerce will be in the focus of the 12th ASEAN-China Expo, slated for September 18-21 in Nanning city of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The ASEAN-China e-commerce summit will be held on September 18-19 on the fringe of the expo and is expected to draw over 500 delegates, including government officials, entrepreneurs and experts from the 10 ASEAN nations and their host China.

Discussion topics at the summit will include new cross-border e-commerce bases, ASEAN – China economic and trade information sharing prospects and new opportunities for ASEAN – China innovation and business start-ups.

A Memorandum of Understanding on the construction of cross-border e-commerce platforms between the two sides is also expected to be signed during the event.

The annual ASEAN-China Expo, jointly held by China’s Ministry of Commerce and the 10 ASEAN member countries, is considered one of the top ten Chinese exhibitions and is an important mechanism to promote friendship and trade links between ASEAN member states and China.
