Poster-painting contest on APEC 2017 concludes in Hanoi
PANO - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented prizes to 20 winners of a poster-painting contest on the APEC Vietnam 2017, at an awarding ceremony held in Hanoi.
All entries reflected the theme of the contest. Through images, colors and creative ideas, these pictures aimed to promote information dissemination on the role and significance of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum to people from all walks of life.
The work of Nguyen Manh Tien from the People's Army Newspaper wins a second prize.
The contest contributed to affirming Vietnam’s policy of facilitating proactive, active and extensive international integration, enhancing the quality and effectiveness of the country’s multilateral diplomacy, and expanding Vietnam’s relations with other APEC member economies. From there, it helps promote the image of a peaceful, stable, friendly, and dynamic Vietnam, with hospitable people and cultural traditions, to international friends.
The organizing panel awarded one first, three second, five third plus 30 consolation prizes to the outstanding entries.
The contest was launched on December 30, 2016 and received entries until February 28, 2017, attracting an enthusiastic response and participation from both amateur and professional artists across the country.
