Letters, hand-made gifts from mainland to reach troops on Truong Sa archipelago
PANO - New Year 2017 letters and hand-made cards will be handed to officers and soldiers undertaking missions on Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.
Cards specially made for officers and soldiers on duty on islands
These small but meaningful gifts are made from a recent letter-writing mobilization launched by the Tuoi tre (Youth) Club for national seas and islands under the National Volunteer Center of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.
The gifts are a source of encouragement for those on duty on islands of the archipelago so that they could successfully fulfill their assigned tasks during the upcoming Lunar New Year festival.
Since its launch a week ago, the mobilization has seen the participation of thousands of youths and teenagers across the country.
The lovely hand-made gifts reflect people’s true love and care for troops who are day and night on duty to firmly protect national sovereignty over the seas and islands. Nguyen Kiem Dien from Khanh Hoa province’s Nha Trang city impressed the organizers with her 21 letters to officers and soldiers on Truong Sa archipelago.
