Brigade 125 conducts dissemination on sea and islands in Soc Trang

At the conference, officers of Brigade 125 equipped participants with information regarding recent situational developments at sea and on islands, the Party and States' viewpoints, policies, and solutions for safeguarding sovereignty over sea and islands; results of the prevention and combat of illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing since early 2024. They also gave advice to students who want to enroll in the Vietnam Naval Academy and briefed on benefits and policies for naval troops and their relatives.

According to Nguyen Van Dinh, Deputy Head of the Soc Trang provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Education and Information, over the past years, the coordination between the commission and Brigade 125 in dissemination on sea and islands and human resource attraction has contributed to raising awareness of officers, Party members and people, especially students and Youth Union members, about the strategic position of sea and islands in building and safeguarding national sovereignty.

At the conference, Brigade 125 and other units presented gifts to disadvantaged students with excellent academic results and children of fishermen sponsored by Naval Region 2.
