High numbers of tourists were recorded in some key tourist destinations. Particularly, Thanh Hoa province served more than 1.5 million visitors, up 27.2% year-on-year, achieving nearly VND 3.805 trillion in revenue, an increase of 32.8%. While Quang Ninh province welcomed more than 1 million tourists, up 48%, with a revenue of VND 2.21 trillion, an increase of 53%, Khanh Hoa province served some 970,000 tourists, up 21.5%, earning over VND 1.3 trillion in revenue (up 53%).

Ho Chi Minh City, Nghe An province and the capital city of Hanoi welcomed some 969,000, 950,000, and 738,000 tourists, achieving VND 3.235 trillion, 1.7 trillion, and 2.5 trillion in revenue, respectively.
Regarding the higher number of tourists this year against those last year, VNAT Director Nguyen Trung Khanh said that localities made good preparations of tourist activities, tourism promotion, and discount programs. In addition, sea festival activities held during this holiday were real highlights attracting tourists. They included Ha Long Carnival, the opening of the Da Nang Sea Tourism Season 2024, the Ha Tinh Sea Tourism 2024, and Sam Son Sea Festival 2024.
