Vietnam-China freight route opens to traffic
Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh on September 11 announced the opening of a freight route connecting Vietnam and China at the Huu Nghi (Friendship) International Border Gate in Vietnam’s northern province of Lang Son on September 11.
Long vehicles run on the new freight route connecting Vietnam and China on Monday.
Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Lang Son provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Cong Truong described the opening of the route as an important event marking a milestone in promoting exchanges as well as economic and trade cooperation between Lang Son and China’s Guangxi province, contributing to deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
The route is expected to help Vietnamese and Chinese businesses step up their trade ties while maintaining the revenue growth between Vietnam and China, he said.
Lang Son province has called on competent agencies of the two countries to coordinate with each other in the management and operation of the route, thus bringing pragmatic interests to their people and enterprises.
