Previously, Vietjet also launched the first flight of Ho Chi Minh City-Chiang Mai (Thailand) route, which pleased both passengers and onlookers.

Both new routes will serve the travel demands of local people and tourists alike while helping to promote trade and integration in the region.

The ceremony saw the participation of Manopchai Vongphakdi, Thai Ambassador to Vietnam, the leadership of the Aviation Administration of Vietnam, leaders of the Culture, Sport and Tourism Department of Ho Chi Minh City as well as industrial leaders of Vietnam and Thailand. On the inaugural flight, passengers were delighted to receive unexpected gifts from Vietjet.

The Ho Chi Minh City-Phuket route will operate a return flight on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays with around two hours of flying. Flights will depart Ho Chi Minh City at 10:15 and arrive in Phuket at 12:10. Return flights will take off at 13:05 in Phuket and land in Ho Chi Minh City at 15:10.

The Ho Chi Minh City-Chiang Mai route will operate a return flight on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays with a flight time of just under two hours. Flights will depart Ho Chi Minh City at 11:35 and arrive in Chiang Mai at 13:30. Return flights will take off at 14:20 in Chiang Mai and land in Ho Chi Minh City at 16:25.

By opening two more new routes, Vietjet now operates six routes from Vietnam to Thailand - “the Land of Smiles”.
