Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy General Director of the Saigon Newport Corporation Senior Captain Bui Van Quy emphasized that in 2024, Cam Ranh International Port welcomed naval ships from countries, such as China, the United States, Japan, Singapore, India, Russia, and Malaysia, as well as other international cruise ships. All activities were conducted safely, affirming the port's position in foreign defense relations, which has been highly appreciated by customers, shipping companies, and partners.
He added that, in the future, Saigon Newport Corporation will continue to upgrade the infrastructure and service quality at the port to accommodate larger world-class cruise ships.
Since October 2024, Cam Ranh International Port has hosted six international cruise ships, bringing nearly 20,000 passengers and crew-members, attracting significant attention from large international cruise lines, travel agents, and partners, both locally and internationally.
Currently, 11 cruise ships have registered to dock at Cam Ranh International Port in 2025, with the number expected to increase. The port aims to become the second most popular destination for 5-star international cruise ships visiting Khanh Hoa.
In 2025, Khanh Hoa's coastal tourism is set to continue affirming itself as one of Vietnam's top destinations. The province aims to welcome 11.8 million visitors, including 5.2 million international tourists, with estimated revenue of approximately VND 60 trillion.
