VAVA kicks off campaign in support of AO/Dioxin victims
PANO – The Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange (VAVA) and the National Humanitarian Portal 1400 opened the campaign “Joining hands to ease the pains of Agent Orange/Dioxin (AO/Dioxin) victims” on July 30 in Hanoi.
From now till September 24, by texting DA CAM to 1409, people can donate VND 20,000 (nearly USD 1) each message to AO/Dioxin victims.
The campaign aims to call for support from organizations and individuals nationwide for AO/Dioxin victims and families of AO/Dioxin victims to overcome their hardships in life.
The VAVA also receives support in kinds and in cash. All the support will be used to take care of, provide medical treatment and vocational training for, and repair houses for AO/Dioxin victims.
