Troubled fishermen rescued at sea
PANO - The Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center successfully rescued 24 distressed fishermen on troubled trawler BV 4469 TS on October 31.

Earlier, the center learnt that the trawler went adrift due to a leakage while operating at sea about 50 nautical miles off Vung Tau city (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province), in the area affected by typhoon Yutu.
After receiving the trawler’s mayday, the center immediately contacted the trawler asked it to frequently update its location. The center then sent Ship SAR 413, docking at Vung Tau city, to the scene.
The ship successfully approached and rescued all 24 crewmen, towed the trawler to Vung Tau port and handed them over to local authorities.
