Tet wishes given to people and organizations nationwide
PANO – Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Education and Information Vo Van Thuong visited and wished a happy Lunar New Year to the Department of Cyber Security under the Ministry of Public Security and writer Do Chu on February 6.
* Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has instructed the Ministry of Finance to provide over 5,500 tons of rice from national reserve funds for seven provinces before the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.
* On the afternoon of February 6, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security and leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Hung Yen province presented Tet gifts to hundreds of workers and impoverished residents in Van Lam district, Hung Yen.
* A delegation of Division 363 under the Air Defense Air Force Service visited troops of Radar Station 27 (Regiment 295, Division 363) and people in Bach Long Vy island district, Hai Phong city.
* Brigade 72 of the Engineer Corps in association with other agencies handed over gifts to national contributors, poor households, and disadvantaged students with outstanding academic records in Kim Boi district, Hoa Binh province.
* Meanwhile, the Tay Ninh provincial Military Command sent missions to visit, extend Tet greetings, and grant gifts to local Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy beneficiaries, and soldiers stationed in border areas of the province.
* According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, the city will spend VND 44 billion to help local impoverished people welcome a warmer Tet holiday.
