Earlier, the center was informed that, on November 11, trawler QB 92701 TS, with seven crew-members on board, experienced main engine failure while fishing at sea and drifted about 110 nautical miles off Cua Lo town (Nghe An province). The crew tried to fix the problem but failed and the captain had to call for rescue.
The center then sent Ship SAR 411 from Cua Lo port to the rescue.
After hours searching at sea, at 1.00 am on November 17, Ship SAR 411 approached the distressed trawler and provided food and water for the troubled fishermen.
At 5.00pm the same day, the trawler and seven crew-members arrived safely in Hon La port of Quang Binh province.
