This is a meaningful activity demonstrating the care of trade union organizations at all levels, social organizations, and enterprises to children of their trade union members and workers with difficult conditions ahead of the upcoming lunar New Year festival.
In 2021, the prolonged and complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in the city exerted serious impacts on businesses’ production activities and workers’ life as well.
Knowing the situation, the trade union chapters at all levels conducted practical activities to take care of nearly 15,900 trade union members, workers and their children affected by the pandemic and support over 600 female members infected with COVID-19 during pregnancy and giving birth.
Meanwhile, the trade union presented gifts to children of disadvantaged members with excellent academic results.
In 2022, the municipal Labor Confederation has raised more than VND 700 billion to carry out programs to help trade union members and workers.
The confederation also asked all-level trade union chapters and parents to pay more attention to children and create the best conditions for them to study, play, and develop comprehensively.
