Accordingly, the contest was co-held by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education and the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) of the Vietnam People’s Army.
Participating in the contest, Vice Chairman Nguyen Hoai Nam left a profound impression about his wide knowledge in fields of national border geography, history, culture, laws, and protection strategies, as well as legal documents related to agreements and treaties signed between Vietnam and neighboring countries.
He was among top three in the semi-final. In the final round, Nguyen Hoai Nam and his team turned the tables and took the first place.

Talking to PANO’s reporters, Nguyen Hoai Nam shared that the country’s territorial sovereignty over the border is the result of the cause of national construction and defense. Therefore, safeguarding territorial integrity and national sovereignty is the sacred duty and responsibility of the Vietnamese people, especially youngsters.
He added that the contest has made him better understand the national border while heightening his responsibilities as well as young generations’ responsibilities in the building of the national borderline of peace and development.
Before working as Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Phuoc Long town, Nguyen Hoai Nam had taken part in activities of the university’s Youth Union chapter for 4 years and worked for Phuoc Long town’s Youth Union Organization for 9 years. He has received many certificates of merit from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Binh Phuoc provincial People’s Committee, and more.
In 2021, Nam implemented important programs on the national border, mobilized resources and constructed the lighting system in Bu Gia Map Border Station under the Binh Phuoc provincial Border Guard Command while inquiring after and presenting gifts to on-duty forces at medical checkpoints in Loc Ninh district (Binh Phuoc), etc.
He stressed that he would organize more activities to promote economic development and firmly protect the national border sovereignty.
