Needy people and AO/Dioxin victims receive Tet gifts
PANO - Vam Trang Trau, Phuoc Tan and Ninh Dien Border Posts in Chau Thanh district, Tay Ninh province have coordinated with local authorities to present Tet gifts to poor households with typical achievements in getting involved in managing and safeguarding the national border.
On the occasion, gifts were also handed over to the district’s students facing difficulties in life and having good academic records.

The Tay Ninh provincial Border Guard Command also gave two computers and a printer to Bien Gioi (Border) B Primary School in Bien Gioi commune, Chau Thanh district.
Meanwhile, the standing board of Da Nang City’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee on January 29 offered 3,520 Tet gifts, worth nearly VND 1.9 billion in total, to seven districts, nine units and 70 poor households in the city.
The gift offering was under the program “Spring of Love in 2018” launched by the city’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee as the Lunar New Year festival is approaching.
The committee sets a target of presenting Tet gifts to 14,489 poor households in the city.

On January 30, Da Nang City’s Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and other organizations gave 120 Tet gifts, valued at VND 500,000 each, to families of Agent Orange/Dioxin victims in the city.
Deputy Head of the association Tra Thanh Lanh said that the association has raised 1,000 gifts for the victims ahead of the coming Lunar New Year festival. These gifts are aimed to make their Tet happier and more comfortably.
