Themed “Spring bus – Reunion Tet,” the program was jointly organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the municipal Youth Union chapter, the city’s Association of Students and Student Support Center.

This year, the program arranged buses to take more than 1,000 needy students from Ho Chi Minh City to their hometowns from Thanh Hoa to Binh Thuan provinces to celebrate the lunar New Year 2022. After the lunar New Year, buses will take them back to Ho Chi Minh City.

At the event, Ho Chi Minh City’s Association of Students and Student Support Center presented 100 gifts and bus tickets to needy students in the city.

Launched in 2002 by Ho Chi Minh City’s Student Support Center, the program has benefited more than 56,900 needy students across the nation. Through the event, the organizers expected to spread the message of sharing to the people.

This year, despite the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the program has still received much support from different units.

The same day, the city’s Student Support Center held a program, themed “Spring from millions of golden hearts,” to support students who are studying in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the event, the organizers presented 1,500 gifts to needy students, especially those who are strongly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Each gift package included sugar-coated fruit, lucky money, and newspapers.
