Representatives of the district briefed the guests on the locality’s socio-economic development, and its efforts to care for policy beneficiary families, people with meritorious service to the revolution, and households in difficult circumstances in ethnic minority areas.

Minister Lenh praised the local political system and people for their efforts to overcome difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and reap achievements across fields.

The delegation present gift packages totaling over VND 55 million (USD 2,420) for organizations, disadvantaged households and policy beneficiary families in ethnic minority areas in Than Uyen.

He affirmed that the Party and State always allocate resources to take care of poor people and those from ethnic minority groups with the hope that all people will enjoy a warm and happy Tet.

He urged the local Party Committee and authority to accelerate the restructuring of crops and livestock, towards gradually improving income for local people and promoting poverty reduction.

Lenh also suggested the local authority pay attention to strengthening the great national unity bloc, implementing socio-economic development goals and ensuring social order and safety, thus contributing to completing criteria in the national target program on building new-style rural areas.

On this occasion, the delegation presented gift packages totaling over VND 55 million (USD 2,420) for organizations, disadvantaged households and policy beneficiary families in ethnic minority areas in Than Uyen, and VND 50 million (USD 2,200) to the district’s study encouragement fund.
