Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Pham Le Tuan said that the program is meaningful and precious as it shows the care of the former Japanese PM for the Vietnamese people in general and people with disabilities and AO victims in particular.
For his part, former Japanese PM Hatoyama hoped that the wheelchairs would help the victims better integrate into community and improve their life quality.
Since September 2014, this is the third time former Japanese PM Hatoyama and the Japanese Friendship Association have donated wheelchairs to Vietnam.
