PANO - Ship 9002 of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command successfully towed troubled fishing ship DNa 0494 to the bay of Da Nang City on November 4.
Previously, the ship, captained by Nguyen Dung, with two other men on board, had an engine failure while pulling a cargo boat back to the city. It then went adrift in the waters of Quang Tri province.

After receiving the information, the command immediately sent ship 9002 to the scene and successfully saved the distressed ship with all crewmembers.
* The same day, the Department of Search and Rescue of the Staff of the Vietnam's Coast Guard Command informed that ship 4034 of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command is still searching for missing fishing boat PY 90115 TS.
Earlier, the fishing boat with four men on board sank at the mouth of the Da Chinh River in Tuy Hoa town, Phu Yen province. Three of the distressed fishermen are safe now while one is still missing.
The Coast Guard Command will continue working with relevant forces to search the missing fisherman.
* According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Missions of Binh Thuan province, six local fishing boats sank due to a recent tropical low pressure. Local authorities and relevant forces succeeded in rescuing two of them and continued the rescue mission for the remaining four. There was no human loss, reportedly.
